Beetroot, Rocket, Ginger & Apple Juice
This is a wonderfully quick juice to whizz together. The rocket adds a peppery flavour to this juice but can be substituted for spinach to make it less peppery.
Beetroot is high in nitrates (nitrates are also found in rocket and spinach in smaller quantities) and there is a vast body of evidence to support nitrate supplementation as an ergogenic aid for exercise performance. Nitrate supplementation augments exercise performance via an enhanced efficiency of mitochondrial respiration and an increased blood flow to the muscle.

Ingredients:
1 Beetroot (vacuum packed)
Handful of Rocket/Spinach Thumb Piece Size of Ginger, grated
150ml Apple Juice
Method:
1). Whizz everything together until smooth.
2). Drink and enjoy!
