Pinhead Porridge
Pinhead oats are very fine, and as the name suggests it is shaped like the size of a pinhead.
It may not be stocked in all supermarkets but you could definitely find some online or perhaps in a health food store. I think it gives an even creamier consistency and like rolled oats can be topped with whatever you fancy - if you're feeling decadent cream and brown sugar is oh so simple and absolutely delicious.
Serves 1
Ingredients:
40g pinhead oatmeal
400ml water (or milk of choice)
toppings of choice (cream, nuts, sugar...)
Method:
1). Pop the oats into a small saucepan and add the water, stirring to avoid lumps forming. Bring to the boil, stirring continuously until it thickens.
2). Simmer for ~5 minutes.
3). Voila, time to top and dig in.
