Spiced Almond Butter

Nut butters are so versatile. Add a dollop to some yogurt or spread on your favourite toast with a banana and a drizzle of honey or with this spiced almond butter stem ginger syrup is delectable! It is a very subtle hint of spice but perfect for that wintery feel at this time of the year!

Makes 300g jar

Ingredients:

300 almonds skin on

6tsp. ground cinnamon

2tsp. ground ginger

2tsp. ground cloves

1tsp. ground nutmeg

1tsp. ground cardamon

11/2tsp. white pepper

1/2 tsp. ground coriander

Method:

1). Heat oven to Gas 5/190C. Spread the almonds on a baking tray and roast for 10 mins. Remove and allow to cool.

2). Put the almonds and spices into a food processor and whizz for 8-10 mins, stopping every so often to scrape the sides down. If you want to sweeten it up try adding some honey or stem ginger syrup to taste. Alternatively, you can wait to drizzle with honey when you spread it over your toast

Will keep in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
